VISION

Vision

For a long time, the utilization of personal information has been discussed centering on the producers, distributors, and recipients, such as countries and companies, In the Internet era, countries and companies have established an institutional foundation to produce, distribute, and receive information about individuals and provide them with formal protection and minimal costs as determined by each country.

However, the subject who decides on the utilization of personal information should be the subject of personal information, i.e. an individual, not a third party such as a country or a company. Individuals should have full rights to access, control, and utilize their personal information, and an appropriate compensation system should be in place.

The recent emergence of pan-national internet services provides a new opportunity to put the rights to personal data back in the hands of individuals. To meet these new challenges, the GPF organizes a forum of experts to research and share the latest institutions and technologies in the fields of governance, finance, healthcare, and AI.
